About NTPN Education
Here at North Thames Paediatric Network, we recognise how pivotal education is:
- To improve patient safety
- To ensure patient pathways work effectively
- To empower staff to feel confident and competent in their role
- To create an environment where staff are prepared to update and develop their practice in response to the ever-changing needs and treatments of patients.
- To develop leadership capability and capacity and retain the best healthcare talent.
- To improve staff recruitment and retention.

We want to ensure that all staff have equal access and education experiences so that they feel confident to provide the best patient care. We believe in the importance of shared learning therefore work closely with our Risk and Governance team to be aware of themes and trends arising from clinical incidents and ensuring these form part of the ongoing educational programmes.
We understand that it is not always straightforward to continue the delivery of education during busy periods. We are passionate about creating opportunities to ensure that all staff are fully equipped to deliver high quality care. Our mission therefore is to reach as many colleagues as possible by providing easily accessible, most up to date education, delivered by subject matter experts. We want to support you with your ongoing development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours that will create a North Thames Paediatric Network where opportunities for learning and developing are plentiful, and we are all supported to reach our potential.
