Neurology
It has been identified that in the North Thames region there are considerable issues with variation and timeliness of children accessing neurology services. One of the aims of this network is to strive for equitable, timely, safe and sustainable care. The network will aid in improving communications with professionals which will give staff the confidence to provide high quality care across the region.
Current Projects
Alignment of trauma and Neurocitical care pathways across the region
Improving access through strengthening the tertiary paediatric neurology services across the North East London (Royal London Hospital), North Central London (GOSH) and North West London (St Marys Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster)
Facilitating and developing pathways for time critical conditions in neurological emergencies – eg stroke, demyelination etc
NTPN Connect – Developing a 24/7 advice, bed finding and transfer hub with real time intelligence of capacity across the systems.
